With an endless selection of floor and décor tile, as well as cabinets and countertops, we can customize your entire project in the comfort of our design studio.

OWNER

DENISE

Denise Phillips, owner of Midwest Stone Source, is a native of Rockford. Attended Muldoon Catholic High School and graduated from West High School. After graduation, Denise joined the military and served 8 years in the Armed Forces. Denise returned to Rockford and eventually in 2006 started Midwest Stone Source + Design. Initially Denise had a business partner, and between the two of them grew the company to where it is today – a FULL SERVICE interior design and construction company. Denise’s passion in life is still doing design and working with clients, traveling and Team Rubicon, a non-profit organization that works in disaster area.

DESIGN SPECIALIST

Michaela

Michaela’s love for design goes back to her high school days where she excelled in AutoCAD. From there she took multiple art and design classes to further her education. Michaela has been working in the remodeling and design business for over 9 years.

As a designer, Michaela’s mission is to help clients create not only beautiful, but functional designs within their homes. Her attention to detail, vast knowledge of products, and ability to blend colors into a cohesive design makes working with Michaela an enjoyable experience in any project.

When Michaela is not in the showroom you can usually find her riding her bike around Rockford, walking her black lab, Kylo, or decorating her new house.

KEVIN

Kevin has been with Midwest Stone Source since 2011 and has been in the countertop and remodeling industry for over 45 years. Kevin is always willing to do whatever is needed of him. Kevin and his wife reside in Loves Park and enjoy walking the local parks with their dog and watching the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Accounting

STACY

Stacy is a lifelong Rockford area resident. She discovered her knack for numbers while working as a receptionist at a local accounting firm. Her accounting career includes working for public accounting, and a real estate company prior to joining Midwest Stone Source in 2013. She is an interictal part of the team and handles all things financial. In her spare time, Stacy and her husband enjoy spending time with their sons, dinner with friends and their love of craft beers.

PROJECT MANAGER

STU

Stu is new to Midwest Stone Source, and we are excited to have him here. At the early age of 17, Stu started in the trades. He has done everything from roofing to building new homes. Stu and his wife reside in Belvidere. He enjoys camping with his grandchildren, golfing and attending blues festivals.
