Denise Phillips

Owner

Denise Phillips, owner of Midwest Stone Source, is a native of Rockford. Attended Muldoon Catholic High School and graduated from West High School. After graduation, Denise joined the military and served 8 years in the Armed Forces. Denise returned to Rockford and eventually in 2006 started Midwest Stone Source + Design. Initially Denise had a business partner, and between the two of them grew the company to where it is today – a FULL SERVICE interior design and construction company. Denise’s passion in life is still doing design and working with clients, traveling and Team Rubicon, a non-profit organization that works in disaster area.

Michaela

Design Specialist

Michaela’s love for design goes back to her high school days where she excelled in AutoCAD. From there she took multiple art and design classes to further her education. Michaela has been working in the remodeling and design business for over 9 years. As a designer, Michaela’s mission is to help clients create not only beautiful, but functional designs within their homes. Her attention to detail, vast knowledge of products, and ability to blend colors into a cohesive design makes working with Michaela an enjoyable experience in any project. When Michaela is not in the showroom you can usually find her riding her bike around Rockford, walking her black lab, Kylo, or decorating her new house.

Beto

Fabrication Department Manager.

Beto has been a dedicated professional in the stone industry for over 20 years, with 15 of those years spent at Midwest Stone Source + Design Studio. Throughout his career, Beto has gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in every aspect of stone fabrication, building a reputation for excellence and confidence in his craft. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic, Beto takes pride in delivering high-quality results. His experience in the industry allows him to handle any challenge that comes his way, ensuring client satisfaction and top-tier service. Outside of work, Beto is a family man who cherishes his time with his wife of over 17 years and their four children. He is also deeply involved in his church, dedicating time and energy to his community.

Stacey

Accounting

Stacy is a lifelong Rockford area resident. She discovered her knack for numbers while working as a receptionist at a local accounting firm. Her accounting career includes working for public accounting, and a real estate company prior to joining Midwest Stone Source in 2013. She is an integral part of the team and handles all things financial. In her spare time, Stacy and her husband enjoy spending time with their sons, dinner with friends and their love of craft beers.
